Organic Weed Treatments
We use vinegar, lemon juices and other child and pet safe, organic lawn care ingredients to kill broadleaf and most grass weeds.   (back to top)  

Mechanical Core Aeration
The removal of small cores of soil from the lawn; core aeration helps reduce soil compaction and improves the ability of the grass roots to expand into the soil.   (back to top)

Nematode Application
Beneficial Nematodes are microscopic organisms that feed upon the "bad guys" like grubs and fire ants. If you are looking for a grub control solution, going organic is the answer. Nematodes will take care of grub problems, but allowing Soils Alive to organically feed your lawn will ensure such issues are addressed before they have a chance to start.   (back to top)

Tree & Shrub Deep Root Fertilization
Injection of organic fertilizers directly into your lawn's soil or close to tree root systems, as well as soil amendments to stimulate root growth.   (back to top)

Sick Tree Treatment
Developed by "The Dirt Doctor", we aerate the root zone and apply his recommended soil amendments to improve the overall health of the tree.   (back to top)

Microbial & Mycorizal Inoculation
Microbial & micorizal inoculation is what Soils Alive applies within our compost tea and within our soil remediation application.  We utilize beneficial organisms to begin with in order to keep the biological cycle working.  Micorizal fungus works in a symbiotic relationship with plant roots to help pull in nutrients and water more efficiently, and the plant in turn feeds the micorizal sugar, which can only be made by plants with the use of sunlight.   (back to top)

Soil Analysis for 'Do-it-yourselfers'
Determine the excesses and deficiencies of the 16 different nutrients in your soil. We will tell you how to apply only what's needed. At your request, Soils Alive can perform a soil analysis on your behalf. We take 10 to 15 core samples of your soil and send them off to the most accurate and professional soil lab we have found. This generally takes about 10 working days. The results of this soil test are the "recipe" we follow to return your soil to a more natural, healthy condition. We leave you with a fixed quote for treating all soil and plants on your property, as well as several payment plans. The cost for this service is $100.00 plus tax. The soil analysis is yours and, if you do not wish to use our service, we will instruct you how to apply the organic amendments and when. Soils Alive uses a measured combination of Rosemary Oil and Wintergreen Oil. This is now a standard part of our Soil-building Program.   (back to top)

Soil Detoxification with Activated Charcoal
Soil Detoxification is employed when a chemical has been unintentionally applied or in excess on a yard with unwanted or unexpected results (not by Soils Alive, of course, as we do not use harmful chemicals of any kind.)  The use activated charcoal on a lawn or landscape 'locks up' or absorbs the the harmful chemical, so that it stops causing harm to the plants or personal health.   (back to top)

Winter Weed Control
Soils Alive uses a combination of vinegar and fatty acids derived from potassium to treat winter weeds during grass dormancy. This treatment is now a standard part of our Annual Soil-building Program. (back to top)
